Josephine Diebitsch Peary (1863-1955), the wife of Admiral Robert E. Peary (1856-1920), the Arctic explorer, accompanied her husband on some of his adventures in the north of Greenland, and wrote about her journeys in several books (My Arctic Journal, The Snow Baby).
