Present day view (Google Streetview). Not much change and the pharmacy is still a pharmacy. It is on the corner of Boulevard Monthyon and Rue Saint-Luc.

Michiel2005: Wonderful that the pharmacy is still there, and in business. The buildings are very much the same as in 1937, the cars have changed though... :) Great to compare, and to know the position, thanks a lot ! /Anna B.

This canal is called Kloveniersburgwal. I used to pass this building between university collegerooms.

Tim Castricum Thanks a lot for locating, now the photo is on the map! :) I also found some information about the Trippenhuis building: www.iamsterdam.com/en/placestogo/trippenhuis/5b088ade-3f1... /Anna B.

Well they can't be accused of being too young in any event? What my mother would call "It won't spoil their youth!" Having said that they do look happy and comfortable in their own company which is always a good start for any marriage. This is a nice image, lovley and clear but the setting is that of a snapper rather than that of a photographer, if you know what I mean. A downpipe to the right and a drain coming out of the kitchen behind, those are the kind of shots we've all taken and wished we had the moment back again to make the appropriate changes!

Oh, they are lovely!

Swordscookie Swordscookie Still love it - downpipe, drain and all! :)

this is typical environmental portrait. i love it. this down pipe is cool because it's real, it's there. not really sure what sort of "photographer " swordscookie is talking about ;) this is really good photograph in every detail!

Artur Sikora Meant to ask you - have you seen a flag flying in the last week or so from the top of Boland's Mills?
