    I'm interested to see how these women wear their shawls - quite short and pinned at the middle back. Styles of wearing shawls were often very distinctive, and specific to locations. Hopefully someone will recognise this market place and reveal where it was.

    What I really love about this shot is the fact that she is really smiling. That is so rare for a photo taken at a time when the norm was the straight almost scowling face. Very nice!
