Hugo Osterhaus (born 15 June 1851, Belleville, Illinois - died 11 June 1927, Castle Point, New York) was a Rear Admiral in the United States Navy. He was the son of Civil War Major General Peter J. Mayor Fitzgerald was nicknamed "Honey Fitz" and his daughter Rose married Joseph Kennedy to form the political dynasty. Eugene Foss gave Joe his first political job when he was Governor of Massachusetts (maybe at the bequest of Mayor Fitzgerald?)
