Unidentified house in Toowoomba, Queensland

  • Dale Read said:
The house name is on the right hand side of the front door. This house is also located next to a two story Queenslander on the left. Both the subject house and house to the right have brick chimneys.

And on the right it seems like it is a near replica

Paterson Laing & Bruce Warehouse, cnr Wynyard /Carrington Sts...seen here pre the ca. 1920 additions. Originally built for Lark & Son, built 1892-93, acquired by Paterson Laing & Bruce in 1899, who made additions which were completed in 1900. More substantial additions along Carrington St, which almost doubled the size of the building, were made in ca. 1920. After this second round of additions the tower was more or less in the middle of the building rather than at its Northern end. trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/28095109 - SMH, 31st March, 1920...brief item on the additions to Paterson Laing & Bruce Warehouse...then pending...
