    Obviously fake. People are nearly as big as the elephant, crack in photo makes part of building disappear(?), Elephants eyes appear drawn in, feet look like they've been cut out of somewhere. Also, ropes would dig into the skin of a 5 ton elephant if it were lifted in this way. You really need to note that this photograph is altered.

    " ... An aerial hoist on the rock over the south landing was erected during 1906-07. Incandescent apparatus using vaporised paraffin burnt in a mantle replaced the multi-wick oil burner in March 1909.
