Another photo of the Charles G. Gates funeral: Hours before his death, bidding farewell to Buffalo Bill Cody, after a hunting trip in Cody, Wyoming: Charles G. Gates photo, with comments about him: Gates died on October 28, 1913, of a heart attack, in Cody, Wyoming, where he had been hunting elk with friends, not long after Prince Albert I of Monaco hunted there with Buffalo Bill Cody himself.

English soldiers buried, Versailles (LOC)

Retired at last: Thanks for catching the date of this photo. We will add it to the image description.

Agence Meurisse photo at Gallica site is another view of this funeral cortege, taken a little bit earlier. It seems Gallica either does not have all of its Meurisse photos digitized, or that LOC has some Meurisse photos in its collection that the Bibliotheque Nationale de France does not. (Bain's negative has Meurisse catalog number at upper right) caption; Enterrement de soldats anglais à Versailles gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b90419017

Your bang on the money, its Fredrick street north, right outside the entrance of the garden of remembrance today. One of the buildings has a distinct archway on the entrance and the wall surface is different to all the others in the row. This building is still the same today. :) maps.google.ie/maps?q=frederick+street+dublin&hl=en&a...

PS. I'm a big fan of the collection. Is this collection displayed anywhere I can view them? and can copies be obtained? I've come across a few buildings that have some significance with my family and it would be nice to have a copy. Thanks. :)
