Looks like Hilltop Park in New York.

Clarence Chester Childs (1884-1960) was an American athlete who took the bronze medal for the hammer throw in the 1912 Olympics. Here he is at Wikipedia, and This January, 1912, New York Times item notes his resignation as captain of the Yale track team. Simon Peter Gillis (1880-1964), a Canadian-born American athlete who competed in the 1908 and 1912 summer Olympics. Sports Reference webpage.

Possibly the Matt McGrath mentioned in NYT of August 2, 1915 select.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=FA091FFE3A5C1373... described in "Matt McGrath, a former member of the [New York] Police Department and holder of the world's record with the 36 -pound weight, hurled the big leaden missile two feet beyond his best mark in an exhibition trial." and in NYT June 1916 select.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F2061FF93A5B1773... as a hammer thrower under the headline, "POLICE IN GREAT CARNIVAL.; Games and Exhibitions for Honor Roll Relief Fund."

W. F. Roos (William Frederick Roos) spent his freshman year Columbia in 1910, before entering Yale (1911-15 s). He excelled in the shot put and hammer throw. [1] Roos was also a member of the storied New York Athletic Club, and competed successfully with the 16-Pound Shot. [2] He was later employed at the Greater New York Ship Service Corporation in New York City. [3]
