  Generalfeldmarschall Gottlieb Graf (Count) von Haesler, 1836 - 1919. Graf von Haesler served as a junior officer in the German wars of unification in the 1860s and 1870s.   At the bottom of the negative, an exact date seems to be scratched in. I seem to be able to make out a mirror-inverted ../../14, and 1914, that is, age 68, seems to fit.

  Just think, he had his Baptism of Fire in 1864 during the Second Schleswig War with Denmark! So this photo was around 50 years after that war. Talk about your old War Horse!
