That's Anna Shaw on the left . . . .

Whoops, yes, of course. I'm never good at left-right (don't give me driving directions or ballroom dance classes, it's hopeless). Should have double-checked myself. The woman on the left certainly is Anna Shaw! Now who's on the right?

Anna Howard Shaw (February 14, 1847 – July 2, 1919) was a leader of the women's suffrage movement in the United States. She was also a physician and the first ordained female Methodist minister in the United States. Kennedy honored her by awarding her the first “Citation of Merit for Distinguished Service.” She often found herself in the middle of historic events. Does everyone agree it is Harriman? I recognize her as Harriman, but I can be wrong.

From NYT, query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=9C04E3DA123CE633A..., on August 21, 1912, it appears that the Women's National Wilson and Marshall Organization (supporting Woodrow Wilson for President and led by Daisy Harriman) kicked off its campaign efforts in Union Square on August 20. Among the speakers was Mrs. S.A. Vibbert, who was 75.

Gentlemen: I think that this photo is incorrectly captioned. This woman is not Mrs. J. B. Harriman. But then, who is she? Pennylrichards suggested that this woman is Mrs. Charles Dana Gibson which is how the Bain service identified her, but I can't find an image of Mrs. Dana that corroborates her as a member of this group.

Ryan (LOC P&P): You refer to Mrs. Gibson using two different last names. Could this contribute to the difficulty in locating an image of her?
