Edmund Ford Curtis 1854-1935 was the son of Caleb Curtis and Mary Maidment. He was a teacher, taught school at Maudsland 23.1.1888-31.12.1899. His sons were William b1885, Ernest c1890, Frank 1891 (died 1918), Edmund 1896 and Cyril 1900. Caleb and Mary (whose father was Edmund Ford Maidment) emigrated from Mere in Wiltshire, UK in 1866 and 1867. Their daughter Lucy was my great-grandmother. These five boys were her nephews. They had two older sisters, Beatrice and Emily. Their mother was Mary Pollock. Curtis Falls near Canungra are named after Caleb.
