    I believe this is actually the back of the Federal Reserve building and that this is Liberty Street (looking east), rather than Maiden Lane. Liberty Street is somewhat higher than Maiden Lane, and the windows are quite close to the street, like we see here, at least on the west end of the building. On Maiden Lane there are at least three rows of stones below the windows.
