Family, friends, and others (see notes added to photo) greeting US Navy aviators Lt. Louis A. Kloor, Jr., Lt. Walter T. Hinton, and Stephen A. Farrell at Pennsylvania Station, New York, on January 14, 1921. Kloor, Hinton (a veteran of the Navy's Curtiss NC-4 transatlantic expedition), and Farrell crewed a US Navy hydrogen-filled free-flight balloon (BuNo A-5598) on a training flight that departed from Naval Air Station Far Rockaway, Long Island, on December 13, 1920. The intention was to land the balloon in northern New York State the following day. However, due to unexpected weather, the balloon would end up landing almost 20 miles north of Moose Factory, Ontario, near Hudson Bay, resulting in an epic story of survival and rescue taking place over two weeks in the Canadian wilderness. This brief description only barely scratches the surface of this story, and what subsequently followed. Thanks for finding this great site artolog. I'd say that you should continue identifying as many individuals as you can in the image. We don't usually identify that many people in a single caption. What we may do though, is identify Ban Johnson, as the AL president and note the dates: 1907-1909 the next time we update the record.

The ship, the Luimneach, was sunk by gunfire from a U-boat in 1940. All of the crew members survived, 15 making their way home via Spain and 3 being imprisoned as POWs in France. www.wrecksite.eu/wreck.aspx?12944

According to this set of articles on the Limerick Steamship Co., the Luimneach was previously the Fairfield that had been sunk at Zeebrugge in WWI and later raised. It had been built in 1915, in Tyne, and was in service at the LSS Co. from 1922-1940.

Also according to that article, if it is 1931 then, the ship's captain would have been Captain W. McNamee, who retired in August 1932.

Possibly ordered by Walter J. Farrell, master mariner and harbourmaster of Waterford port. Here he is in 1911 living in Sion Row, but in a house larger than anything standing now, I think. Possibly in one of these mostly demolished houses (Streetview).
