I think that's Charles Comiskey, second from left in front row.

At center bottom is en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ban_Johnson , "Byron Bancroft "Ban" Johnson (January 5, 1864 – March 28, 1931), ...the founder and first president of the American League."

Another Bain shot of American League owners in 1914:
[AL club presidents: Frank Navin, Detroit; Benjamin S. Minor, Washington; Frank Farrell, N.Y.; Charles Comiskey, Chicago; Ban Johnson AL President; Joseph Lannin, Boston (baseball)] (LOC)

Thanks for finding this great site artolog. I'd say that you should continue identifying as many individuals as you can in the image. We don't usually identify that many people in a single caption. What we may do though, is identify Ban Johnson, as the AL president and note the dates: 1907-1909 the next time we update the record.

You're welcome.. I think you should consider changing your caption from "American League Owners" to "American League Executives" or the like, as the league president and other team execs are in picture.

NYT of Feb 6, 1914 query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=9C04E3DE113FE633A... reported, "AMERICAN LEAGUE TO PLAN WAR ON RIVALS; Secret Conference to be Held in New York Next Week -- Rules Changes."

Thanks for the link to the article, swanq. At the very least we learn who attended the conference. In the photo, I think that Ben Minor is standing second from left, and that Joe Lannin is seated at right. See: www.loc.gov/pictures/item/ggb2005017518. I welcome confirmation or denial, so please keep the conversation going.

I'm certainly not an expert, but I found www.baseball-fever.com/showthread.php?40306-Historical-Ar... useful in my attempts to identify men without identification notes attached.
