If anyone hasn't done so already the pedestrian tunnel is well worth a visit. (it's free!) I was awestruck at the beauty of the escalators. Wooden treads contained in a cast aluninium housing.

cam_railbuff Indeed they are - I used them only last weekend! Apparently they were originally installed at Milsons Point. www.heritage.nsw.gov.au/07_subnav_04_2.cfm?itemid=4803268
