  Edgar Jonathan "Spike" Staff, (b. 1892) Class of 1915, played Right Guard (Number 11) for Brown University football, in this game against Cornell University, October 24, 1914, at the Polo Grounds (Brush Stadium) in New York. Cornell vanquished Brown 28 - 7. "Spike" Staff later played one season of NFL professional football with the Providence Steam Roller in 1925 — [1] [2] [3]
