As stated in the caption, USS Vestal (AR-4), would serve in both World Wars. Remarkably, she was moored alongside USS Arizona (BB-39), in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, during the Japanese sneak attack on the base and other military installations around Oahu. She and her crew performed admirably in the face of the attack and the utter destruction rained down upon her and Arizona.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hell_Gate_Bridge "The Hell Gate Bridge (originally the New York Connecting Railroad Bridge[1] or The East River Arch Bridge[2]) is a 1,017-foot (310 m)[3] steel through arch railroad bridge in New York City. The bridge crosses the Hell Gate, a strait of the East River, between Astoria, Queens and Wards Island in Manhattan."
