This is Inspector James Hussey , my grandfather Raymond Hussey's (b 1912) uncle, I remember as a kid him telling me how his Uncle Jimmy the cop, did some jail time on Blackwell's Island for taking a bribe

Captain James E. Hussey, he was suspended in February 1913 (New-York tribune., February 07, 1913, Image 1, with photo). He was found guilty in may 1913 (New-York tribune., May 07, 1913, Image 1). In March 1914, he was set free but immediately rearrested on bribery charge (The evening world., March 06, 1914, Final Edition, Image 1, co. 3) In 1915 he was reinstated to the Police Departement, a decision against which was appealed, and Hussey wanted to retire if the reinstatement would be confirmed (The evening world., July 31, 1915, Final Edition, Image 3, col. 2)
