Left to Right: Jack O'Hearn, Captain;  E. W. Kleinert. John "Jack" Ewing O'Hearn (1893-1977), Class (President) of 1915, (Number 1) played Left End and was Captain of Cornell University football, and E. W. Kleinert, Class of 1916, (Number 28) played Full Back in this game against Brown University, October 24, 1914 at the Polo Grounds (Brush Stadium) in New York. Cornell clobbered defeated Brown 28 - 7. — [1] From the College Football Hall of Fame: "Rugged, rapid afoot and possessing uncanny pass-catching talents, Jack O' Hearn was an end on one of the most potent Cornell teams of football's Pioneer Era. O'Hearn enjoyed stardom through three varsity seasons. He was the Big Red captain in 1914, a year in which Cornell broke from mediocrity into gridiron greatness. O'Hearn was named All-America by Walter Camp that season ... " Jack O'Hearn played in the National Football League (NFL) in 1920 with the Cleveland Tigers and in 1921 with the Buffalo All-Americans. Little to no information seems to be available for E. W. Kleinert.
