William Cameron "Gib" Cool, (1894-1933), Class of 1916, played Center (Number 4) for Cornell University football, in this game against Brown University, October 24, 1914, at the Polo Grounds (Brush Stadium) in New York. Cornell
toppleddefeated Brown 28 - 7. Cool was selected as an All-American after his senior year in 1915. He was inducted [posthumously] into the Cornell Athletic Hall of Fame in 1981. After graduation from Cornell, Cool coached the University of Tennessee football team for one year. During World War I, Cool enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving as an instructor in the School of Fire at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. — [1] [2] [3] -
