However, there is a Joseph Dawson, a general merchant, in the 1911 Census at 2 Main St., which is described in the Building Return Form as a grocery and hardware shop.

McKenzies archiseek.com/2016/1884-thomas-mckenzie-sons-pearse-st-du... was a hardware and seeds supplier in Pearse St. i remember buying a billycan there for the site.
