At a luncheon party given by the Royal Italian Consul General and Mrs. Mariani on Wednesday at their private residence the guests included Me E. J. Riordan, Director, Trade and Indugtry Branch, Department of Industry and Commerce, and Mrs, Riordan ; Mr. R, C. Ferguon, Department of Industry and Commerce; Rev, Father Hannon.S.J.. Miltown Park; Captain Vittorio Napoli and Mrs. Napoli. Captain Napoli is an officer in the Italian Grenadiers stationed at Derna, Cirenaica, North Africa, and is at present in Dublin on leave. Mrs. Napoli was formerly Miss Kathleen McKenna, of Oldcastle, Co, Meath, and was at one time private secretary to Mr Desmond Fitzgerald, and later second private secretary to the Minister for Industry and Commerce in Mr, Cosgrave’s Government.
On two occasions in 1950, the Catholic Standard referred to her as Kathleen Napoli McKenna. In the 29th Sept edition there is an article by her about an Easter visit to Rome, and specifically about the Scala Santa..
