  This must be for a King George V-class battleship, the only British battleships in World War II to mount quadruple turrets.

  Its one of King George V's turrets which was lead ship of the class that was built at Walker Naval yard (below). Mounting 10 of these 14 inch guns. These quadruple mounts were very complex.
  
  These very guns contributed to the sinking of the KMS Bismark in May 1941.

  I saw this photo yesterday when trying to find out about the auction rooms, and wondered if it had something to do with anything. Is this the same Walsh? Was the auction photo taken in the rebuilt building - see the iron beam holding the chandelier clamp, which might not have been in the handsome older building. There are a couple of 'Similar Items' not yet digitized which have a "ca. 1898" date for the "burning"...
