Lawson's portrait looks like an actual photograph, which would be amazing. Is this correct, and if so, do you know it's origin?

Lionel Cox took part in the 1,000m scratch race: the first-round heat was on 28th July 1952, quarter final 29th July, semi-final and won the silver in the final on 31st July. He and Mockridge took part in the 2000m tandem race: the first-round heat was on 28th July, quarter-final and semi-final on 29th July and won the final on 31st July. This is from the official Helsinki Olympics report, which has a photo of Cox and the other two scratch race medal winners, and one of Mockridge, and another of the pair in the semi-final of the tandem race. library.la84.org/6oic/OfficialReports/1952/OR1952.pdf Wikipedia says:
In track cycling, a scratch race is a race in which all riders start together and the object is simply to be first over the finish line after a certain number of laps. There are no intermediate points or sprints.
