In April 1939, just five months before the outbreak of war, the Brisbane City Council hosted a meeting at City Hall to organize a women’s volunteer organization to aid the coming war effort. Thereafter, City Hall often provided temporary office space for war organizations such as the Women’s Volunteer National Register until they found permanent accommodation. Pre-war services such as the children’s Immunisation Clinic were maintained. In 1940, City Hall was the headquarters for Brisbane’s civil defense, with Council staff mapping out suburban evacuation campsites and the location of water mains as part of Brisbane’s Air Raid Precautions (ARP) planning. Thatcher in 1850. For the majority of the company's early life, its main offices were in various locations throughout New York City, and its main foundry was located in Newark, NJ. By the mid-twentieth century, the much larger plant in Garwood, NJ, had become the primary base of manufacturing and administrative operations.' The company closed in 1968. Here's the account of the presentation of the Silver Cross to the scouts which appeared in the Irish Times on 5th December 1919

A Lt. Goodnoh was placed 2nd in the 220yds at the Royal Air Force (Ireland) Sports held at Landsdowne road on Saturday 9th August 1919 (Dublin Daily Express - Monday 11 August 1919).

According to RAF records, Scott Tracey Goodnoh, born about 1894, service date 17th June 1917.

Further delving finds 6-year-old Scott T Goodnoh in the 1900 US census, in Hartford, Connecticut, and 17-year-old American Scott Goodnoh in Quebec in the Canadian 1911 census. Finally in Canadian death registers, Scott Goodnoh died aged 97 on 4/7/1991 in Montreal.
