the angel is from the top of the South African War memorial in the Haymarket. This photo is from 1975 when she was taken away for restoration during the building of the Tyneside Metro station below. Now fully restored (with a new body and fibreglass wings!) she holds a sword in the left hand and a laurel garland in the right. In the background are the Plough public house, which closed in 1976, and the ABC Haymarket cinema. The whole block was demolished in 1985

While the term "pernicious anemia" is sometimes also incorrectly used to indicate megaloblastic anemia due to any cause of vitamin B-12 deficiency, its proper usage refers to that caused by atrophic gastritis and parietal cell loss only. It is the most common result of adult vitamin B-12 deficiency.[3]
