Owen Johnson (1878-1952) was a writer and war correspondent: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Owen_Johnson From the dates this should be his second wife (of five), Esther Ellen Cobb--they married in 1912 and divorced in 1917.

Terrific photo of Ty Cobb. You can see in this one picture all those things that made him one of a kind -- the athleticism, the attitude, the extraordinary focus and competitive drive and, yes, the meanness and the way he was always alone in a crowd, always with a chip on his shoulder and, in a team sport, without a friend in the world. Great picture!
