I own plenty of shoes- but when I'm visiting my father in the south, I never wear any. Feet are tougher when they aren't always protected. That said- I'm real glad I own shoes- it's good to have options.

lol, good luck with that, I'm from Baltimore, but i currently reside in the Atlanta Chattanooga area, which is reffered to as 'The New South,' and hardly see people barefoot anymore, lol, but when i do its kinda like the equivalent of seeing someone wear suspenders without a shirt, or no shirt at all....guess its just one of those things

Yeah, Dad's in central FL- probably "The Old South". And shoes in summer? only if you are also wearing a suit. Then again, I wouldn't think twice about seeing a guy with no shirt :) Suspenders with no shirt would be weird, I agree.
