"Artemus Ward "Nick" Allen (September 14, 1888 – October 16, 1939) was a catcher in Major League Baseball. He played for the Buffalo Buffeds/Blues, Chicago Cubs, and Cincinnati Reds. Allen became a minor league baseball manager after his playing career was over and earned the nickname "Roarin' Nick" for his altercations with umpires. He stood at 6' 0" and weighed 180 lbs. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Allen www.baseball-reference.com/players/a/allenni01.shtml

Patrick Moran (1876-1924) was a catcher and manager in Major League Baseball. He played for the Boston Beaneaters (1901–1905), Chicago Cubs (1906–1909) and Philadelphia Phillies (1910–1914). As a manager, he led two teams to their first-ever modern-era National League championships: the 1915 Philadelphia Phillies and the 1919 Cincinnati Reds. [1]
