    Arriero, es la palabra con la que se denomina a las personas que se dedicaban al transporte de mercancias utilizando burros y mulos.En la zona de la Sierra de Cádiz históricamente fue un trabajo que desarrollaron muchos habitantes de sus pueblos, ya que habia sido zona fronteriza de los reinos arabe y castellano. Hubo pueblos como TORRE ALHAQUIME ( a 3 km de OLVERA) en que esa tradición se ha mantenido hasta hace pocas décadas. En Olvera las ferias de ganado han sido de las más populares de toda la zona, siendo hoy un referente en sus fiestas patronales. Carl Curman es muy poco probable que se desplazase hasta Olvera para tomar una única fotografia. Esta foto, de arrieros junto a una casa humilde, casi con toda seguridad pertenece a una imagen de habitantes de Olvera.
