  beachcomber australia haha - i'd just thought the same thing. i reckon this might be the fashion solution for those of us today who are worried about this!

  The bustle was designed to accentuate that part of the anatomy and make it as big as possible! In those days thin was poverty and fat was well fed and prosperous.

  Me too - I think that's why the photo appealed to me. I guess there are lots of points in time like this - gas lights & electric lightbulbs, typewriters and word processors - but it's amazing to reflect on photographic evidence. -- Courtney
