    The ship is the RMS/HMHS Britannic The sister ship of the titanic, which was lost after striking a mine in the Agean sea. the wreck is in amazing condition too.

    This is the launch of the Holland-America Line's Statendam (H&W No. 436). She was built on the No.3 slip (where Titanic was built) alongside Britannic (No. 433). Like Britannic, she never entered civilian service. The British government requisitioned her as a troop transport, and she was renamed "Justicia." She was torpedoed and sunk while serving in this capacity. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Justicia

    Actually this is the first BRITANNIC, built in 1874, alongside what I think is the White Star Liner CEDRIC, on her fitting out, putting this picture in late 1902 (most likely October, not long after BRITANNIC arrived in Belfast), considering that CEDRIC was handed over to WSL in 31st January 1903. BRITANNIC had served as a troopship in the Boer War from 1899 onward (that is why her hull is painted white), and after the end of the war in October 1902 was sent to Harland & Wolff in order to be modernized and fitted with new engines, but given her overall condition it was canceled and was sent to scrap in Germany in July 1903

Paramount Pictures took over the lease on the building and renamed it the Capitol. Under new management, the Capitol ran a live show every week to accompany the current film ...
