"Lord Mayo was stoutly built, with a frank, good-looking face, upon which a smile generally was to be found" - from his obituary following his assassination at Port Blair on the Andaman Islands in 1872. The photograph doesn't seem to have captured his smile.

He didn't become Viceroy of India until 1868 and didn't arrive in India until January 1869 - I doubt he would have used Bourne and Shepherd's services before that.
