I had enjoyed flights to Dublin and Cork, in different aircraft. During some time off in Dublin, almost three decades ago, I asked the Irish Aviation Authority about converting my Airline Transport Pilot Licence to an Irish equivalent with the intention of immigrating. I was advised not to bother.
