    Yeah, they had airplanes. No jets yet, . that was a technology that came from the War, but there were some airplanes around as early as WWI!

    Yes t,here were planes in 1940 how do you think Pearl Harbor was bombed by the Japanese in 1941. The Wright Brother flew the first plane in 1903!

Trucks outside of a starch factory, Caribou, Aroostook County, Me. There were almost fifty trucks in the line. Some had been waiting for twenty-four hours for the potatoes to be graded and weighed (LOC)

However, the MMA has recently announced plans to abandon its northern Maine lines, and an effort has begun to have the State of Maine purchase the lines and improve them, to ensure continued rail service.
