Lovely. Good to know something about the process too, as color prints were rare and usually hand-painted on silver gelatin based films... edited - thank you, link viewed, I understand it now. These all are beauties.

It's amazing to think of trendy inner-city terrace gardens back then... the fences are still in the same style!

There are probably a few whimsical costume references I can't spy or understand in this photograph, but like others in this series, there's always something. The one I've spotted is that the bloke on the right's fob watch chain is actually a bicycle chain. Only visible on zoom function at the persistent URL.

It's the same yard as the 'Woman holding decorated bicycle' shot - that's her in the middle.
