What a beautiful photograph... the flowers in the background match the young ladies dresses - great composition and color!!!! Love it.

I love how, even though this was taken over 60 years ago, those buildings look almost identical today.

There's such a European look to the architecture and landscaping, I had to do a double-take to be sure it said this was D.C. The people in it are intriguing, too; I wonder whether they were models or actual servicemen and their dates? I like how the polka-dotted woman's right arm is motion-blurred, and how neatly the stripe-skirted lady's feet are pressed together.

What's amazing is that the street lamp is really the only thing that indicates this photo was not taken today, almost a century later.

Some renovation done to the bldg. about five yrs. ago changed the front window.

It does appear there have been some changes. It seems that the chimney might be gone now, though I guess that might be a function of the angle from which the newer photo was shot.

Ive grown up in NYC and THIS house has always been my "dream home" i love the ivy, so amazing to stumble upon it like this!
