    After the 1906 earthquake and fire, the basement of the drug store became a food distribution center. People here are lined up along 17th street, past the Wulzen home behind the drug store building.

    What's amazing is that the street lamp is really the only thing that indicates this photo was not taken today, almost a century later.

    Some renovation done to the bldg. about five yrs. ago changed the front window.

    It does appear there have been some changes. It seems that the chimney might be gone now, though I guess that might be a function of the angle from which the newer photo was shot.
