beachcomber australia I will have to talk to the powers that be to ascertain if you can count two visible faces of a multifaceted clock as two clocks rather than one clock?

victor, I think I would like to see the WHOLE image that is in the collection, and then let the user crop his own copy.... Cheers, Bill What a fantastic idea "The Commons "is, I have loaded old images of mine, and have received great feed back from people who found relatives or friends in them...

The 1890 Map of Sydney shows Petty's Hotel at the corner of Jamison Street and Clarence Street, looking north at St Phillip's Church (explains the trees and verandahs for shade). www.nla.gov.au/apps/cdview?pi=nla.map-rm1280-s1-sd&rg... The York apartments are there now. Google street view: maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geo...

Oops! I was 90 degrees out - the verandahs and trees face EAST (or NE) on to York Street. Apologies. See www.flickr.com/photos/powerhouse_museum/2555443796/ Revised Google street view - maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geo...
