The 1890 Map of Sydney shows Petty's Hotel at the corner of Jamison Street and Clarence Street, looking north at St Phillip's Church (explains the trees and verandahs for shade). www.nla.gov.au/apps/cdview?pi=nla.map-rm1280-s1-sd&rg...
