    Was Mr Poole making a copy of an earlier photo? James Delahunty died in 1885. And a 1872 Vanity Fair caricature - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Delahunty Delahunty "was laughed at because of the dullness of his oratory". In 1878 he caused amusement in the Commons by spreading on his bench sundry personal items taken from his bag in a long search for the notes for his speech on the Money Laws (Ireland) Bill. [Ed. SNAP !]

From snippets in various newspapers, James Delahunty was a member of the Irish Parliamentary Party; of the Home Rule League; on the council of the Society for the Preservation of the Irish Language; and active on the land question.
