This is probably from his June, 1924 visit: "Count Erich von Zeppelin, nephew of the late Count Otto von Zeppelin, inventor of the German type of dirigible which bears his name, arrived yesterday on the Hamburg-American liner Albert Ballin, from Friedrichshafen with Dr. F.E. Jung, consulting engineer of the Zeppelin company in America. In German airship lore, the three main characters were Count Zeppelin, Dr. Hugo Eckener, and Flugkapitaen Peter Strasser (wartime commander of the Naval airship division). Men under their command referred to them, privately, as the "Vati" (father / Zeppelin), "the Pope" (Dr. Eckener), and the Son (Strasser). Here is a photo of "The Father", Count Zeppelin.
