This is one of twelve pre-production Albatros D.Is ordered in June 1916, serial number 391/16. It was flown by Ltn. Franz Büttner of Jasta 2. During December 1916, the British forced Ltn. Büttner and his aircraft down alive and intact. Max. speed: 109.4 mph. Service ceiling: 17,000 feet. Climb: 3,280 ft. in 6 minutes. Endurance: 1 hour, 50 minutes. Hence, this is a captured German Albatros D.I.
