    this is great ... my dad used to box too in the 40s .. and we still have his trophys .that look very much like these, we use one as a sugar pot always have and always will haha .... i will have to ask him if he wore the outfit too . what a great photo

    Scottish coastal rower here. We row with a crew of four and in our club the bow and stroke (stern) oars are shorter than the others in some of our sets. I imagine the boat these chaps rowed was very similar to our skiffs, which are based on a traditional Fair Isle design. www.flickr.com/photos/hockadilly/23428062580/
