The Glasnevin Trust has a numbered version available, with some of the names already filled in.

Sharon Corbet That cuts out most of the fun of the shot Sharon but it is interesting how many major players were present!

Keogh had to have taken the photograph from the roof of the Boland Chapel. Streetview The grave to bottom right is that of William Dargan another nation "builder". James O Dea's photographs are mostly of his work. "St. James’s Brass and Reed Band, Mount Brown, Dublin 8, is by far Ireland’s oldest band. It was established in 1800 but early records trace back as far as 1737."

Always delighted to find named dogs in our collections! Very funny in the albums, where sometimes people aren't named, but dogs (and cats) are named.

Lovely title.. worth seeing it all. LAMENT FOR THOMAS MACDONAGH by Francis Ledwidge He shall not hear the bittern cry In the wild sky, where he is lain, Nor voices of the sweeter birds Above the wailing of the rain. Nor shall he know when loud March blows Thro' slanting snows her fanfare shrill, Blowing to flame the golden cup Of many an upset daffodil. But when the dark cow leaves the moor, And pastures poor with greedy weeds, Perhaps he'll hear her low at morn Lifting her horn in pleasant meads.
