    Just wanted to point out that the caption on the negative reads "Clark, St. Louis." If the Pictorial History Committee determined that the original caption was erroneous, perhaps that fact ought to be included in the notes.

    You drew the right conclusion. We determined that the player was indeed Krichell, not Clark.

    You're welcome. Not only will that avert confusion among researchers, but it will preserve the Committee's hard work in a way that's guaranteed to remain associated with the image. I'd suggest using the "Notes" field to briefly recapitulate the Committee's reasoning, with citations of documents used to support it. That material can be inserted after the sentence beginning "Title and date...." For example: "Four other photos of this individual in the Bain Collection are captioned 'Krichell, St. Louis.' [citations] By preponderance of the evidence, the Committee therefore has concluded that this photo's caption is erroneous."
