Very short shadows and people waiting in the shade at left - must be high summer and a very hot day.

My guess, given the special shape of the radiator, is that the vehicle is a Belgian Minerva from 1906

I'm fairly certain that the building under construction seen in the mid distance on the left of frame is Temple Court, which occupied the NW corner of Elizabeth/King Sts...it was evidently a rebuild of the previous building... trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/228696211 - the Sun, 13th January, 1913...this pic shows the exterior of Temple Court nearing completion...I suspect the Kerry & Co pic might have been taken at about the same time...within a month or so... trove.nla.gov.au/work/190055313 - this NLA Fairfax pic appears to have been taken in ca. October 1912, probably from Culwulla Chambers...it shows the building work at Temple Court at an earlier stage... Just for interest, the NLA Fairfax pic also shows the clock face on the clock at the Balfour Hotel (NE corner of Elizabeth/King Sts)...instead of numbers it had the lettering 'BALFOURHOTEL'. The Balfour Hotel was built in 1893-94...replacing the earlier Windsor Castle Hotel...the 1893-94 building was known as Riley's Hotel until 1903, when it changed hands...after which it was known as the Balfour Hotel...it was demolished in early 1934 when Elizabeth St was widened and replaced by a new Balfour Hotel... This other pic might have been taken at about the same time...if you zoom in you can see that Temple Court looks to be in a similar state of construction... www.flickr.com/photos/powerhouse_museum/2667022758/

Roundabouts have been around for years so it seems....shame this roundabout no longer exists. That area is now all filled in.
