    50 years since the original trams ceased on 25 Feb 1961. Wonderful celebrations were held at the Sydney Tramway Museum over the weekend of 26/7 Feb 2011.

    Just going on the theatre advert over on the left, the year has to be 1905...maybe December...when the Royal Comic Opera Company presented 'A Girl from Kays' at Her Majesty's Theatre...it was the holiday attraction...the first performance was on 26th December. One slight problem is that the advertising hoarding has the date 'Sat December 23'...per the various newspaper adverts, the first performance was on 26th December...but maybe the discrepancy was due to rescheduling.
