  It looks as though the photographer had to rearrange some furniture to get it all in the shot. I can't see the hotel dropping a large lounge in front of a door like that. In fact, the chair in the foreground apears to be an early folder, with a steel wire clipping everything together. Also, I can't help but note that the developing imperfection seen near the top of the window sure looks like an escapee from the film, Ghost Busters.

  The door which is being blocked by the longue is likely a door to an interconnecting room. It is not unusual for hotels to place furniture in front of such a door if it is unlikely to be used. Thus permitting the two rooms to be sold seperately. The fact that the door is on a wall perpendicular to the window also makes it likely to be an interconnecting door. Alternatively, as the sole entry door it would been to be the last room at the end of the corridor. - due to the placement of the window.
