This photo is taken looking to the northeast; the building with the columns in the center distance is Hamilton Hall, but it's difficult to tell from this perspective whether the push ball is happening on what is now the south lawn, or whether they're actually on the old South Field (now Butler Library).

I seem to recall playing a similar game in prep-school, probably in the early '80's or very late '70's. Thought it was something from the '60's but perhaps that was wrong :) And of course, now "earthball" comes to mind.
