A general question about photographs of the Bain News Service. Are the names of photographers known other than Mr. Bain himself who contributed to the Bain New Service.

Good question. Sadly, it seems most of the photographers are unknown. From the Collection Overview page for the Bain Collection in the Prints & Photographs Online Catalog (www.loc.gov/pictures/collection/ggbain/), you can use the left side menus to browse by "Creator/Related Name" which reveals a small number of other creators. We attributed the majority to the News Service broadly, as there was very little evidence of individual creation.
