Interesting to see that St Phillips Anglican Church was placed at the vanishing point of Bridge Street.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/51979177@N02] I think this must be before 1902 (see 'Stuart' note) because of the Phillip Street STEAM not electric tram. Or not?

i hope this does not sound irreverent but Lincoln looks a little like Mr. Spock here -- Seen in your Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865) set. (?)

To me, viewing these old pictures that clearly illustrates the life that way back to the time of 1800's which is almost 200 years ago. From these pictures that I can see the quality of their lives at that time in contrasting to today's fashion. To me, these images represent the long journey of this country's change within these 200 years. The material life at that time, frankily speaking, as a President of USA, Lincoln should be able to represent the best material life that a person could process; but what we can see from these pictures in comparing today what we could have in this modern society is different. Thinking their lives at that time also illustrated the best of material life over all human society worldwide. We shall feel lucky and appreciate the efforts they have made for today's our lives.

The Lincoln cabinet, a few of them in part, were potential martrys as well.
